How do commissions work?

Commissioning a painting is the process of creating a bespoke piece of work, just for you. I’ll work closely with you on the style, colours and size of your choice. I want to fill your home with colour and joy!

I’ve worked with all sorts of people to bring their vision to life, which is such a fun process. My aim is for you to be 100% happy with your arty investment, and enjoy it more every time you look at it. You can see some reviews from happy customers lower on this page, and also in the Reviews highlights on my Instagram page.

Process wise, to start with I’ll ask you several key design questions, so that I can identify what you are looking for. It can be useful for me to see a photo of where the painting will hang, if you have a particular spot in mind. You’re welcome to send me a piece of music that you feel may be relevant if you have one, but this is 100% optional!

Once I have all the details, I will send you a quote. Once you have accepted the quote, there is a 20% deposit to pay for materials which is non-refundable. I will then keep in touch with you throughout the process with photos, via Whatsapp or email. You won’t need to pay the balance until you have approved the final photos. Paying the balance in instalments is possible, before I ship the painting.

Generally I’d suggest two to four weeks as the turnaround time, depending on the size(s). Once the balance payment has cleared, I will post the painting, at a cost agreed within the quote. You could also collect it from me in east Bristol (UK) for free. Alternatively, I use first class tracked and signed-for postage.

Is international shipping available?

I can offer international shipping on a case-by-case basis, as I will need to get a quote from the Post Office. If there is a purchase that you are interested in, please contact me directly on enquiry@naomirusherart.com, and I will reserve the painting for you until I can get the quote.

How long will it take to receive an order?

I will always endeavor to get the item in the post within two working days, and then the postage time will depend on the shipping option you choose at checkout.

Can I pay in installments for a painting from your store?

Yes, you are welcome to set up a payment plan. If you would like to do this, please contact me directly on enquiry@naomirusherart.com and we will discuss the best option for you. I can offer two or three installments, depending on the total cost. The painting will be reserved for you as soon as the first installment has cleared. Once all the installments have been paid, I will ship the painting straight to you.

Are refunds or exchanges possible?

All sales of original paintings are final. Exceptions are made in case of any damage incurred during shipping. If this happens, please contact me within three days of receiving your artwork to discuss a solution.
