Being Invited to Join The Art Gallery SW

While taking part in the Bath Art Exhibition in Autumn 2020, I was thrilled to sell all four peices of work that I hung in Milson Place in Bath, as part of the pop-up exhibition. Now I can’t stop wondering if the same person bought all four!

The Art Gallery SW is an online platform for local artists to sell their work, covering all sorts of mediums including painting, sculpture and photography.

Last month, I had an email from the organiser, asking if I’d like to join the gallery on a permanent basis, and sell artwork through their website.

I was really pleased about this as it shows confidence in my work, helps me to learn about and integrate with other local artists, as well as potentially reach a new customer base. The gallery take a small commission on sales, which helps to support a local arts business, which is also something I’m happy about.

Thinking about ideas for a new, special collection, I decided to focus on a flash of inspo that I had around Christmas time, as the general gloom of 2020 came to an end.

I knew I wanted to create something positive, colourful and full of energy. It was definitely time to start thinking about the spring; the bulbs in my garden coming up, going to the beach, and new ventures coming in with the start of 2021.

With these exciting things in mind, I went on a painting spree using all my favourite colours - teal, turquoise, greens and purple, and the ‘Spring Break’ collection was born. The collection is available for sale here.

Once again a big thanks to Robert at Art Gallery SW. They stock all sorts of beautiful work, from a large variety of local artists.
