‘The chakras’ refers to a complex and ancient energy system within our bodies, that originated in India.
I was fascinated to discover that ‘chakra’ means ‘wheel'. They are thought to be spinning disks of energy that should stay open and aligned, as they correspond to different areas of our energetic body that affect our physical and emotional well-being.
The words ‘wheel’ and ‘energy’ were the starting points for the design of this collection.
The root chakra has the following unique properties:
Position: the base of he spine
Colour: red
Meaning: grounding, physical identity, stability
Fixed with varnish, and UV protectant. Signed on the front and dated on the back.
